AVS HD 1024P IP cameras has a resolution of 1280 x 1024p. This is almost 10X better than an image of D1(704 x 480i) which is the max Resolution of analog camera recorded DVR. Examples show a recorded image of a store setting, one with HD1024p resolution compared to D1(704x 480i).
The AVS HD1024P IP cameras come standard with WDR (Wide Dynamic Range) features which make it possible to display the wide range of light from shadow to sunlight in one clear image. As the pictures show, different light levels can cause extremely noticeable picture quality differences. Different levels of light are difficult for most IP cameras to handle due to the iris’s inability to process the image effectively. Outside pictures can also be a victim and affected by area with different lighting and glares. The pictures show how areas can suffer by either completely washing out the picture or having areas that are completely dark (ex: like dark the shadows under the trees or the areas under the window and coffee pot). Backlight Compensation is an important feature needed to produce clear images around the clock and in different situations.
Every AVS HD1024P IP camera uses a Sony High Sensitive HD Image sensor verses a standard image sensor. The type of image sensor of an IP camera makes a huge impact on how the image will look like in low light situations. Most IP camera image sensor are designed for cell phones or web cams and are not sensitive enough for around the clock surveillance.
The scanning method of an IP camera is important to be able to capture moving objects. All AVS HD IP cameras has progressive scanning which scans the field with one scan allowing for a sharp image in each frame.
